This policy explains how POP, Inc. handles information for the Prototype App Messaging Program.
We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Mobile information, including text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, is excluded from all data-sharing categories and will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to SMS messages sent by POP, Inc. through the Prototype App Messaging Program as part of a proof-of-concept mobile application (the “Prototype”). These Prototypes are created so invited participants, client teams, and other authorized testers can evaluate a possible user experience before a full product is built.
This is the privacy policy that applies to the Prototype App Messaging Program.
Information we collect
We may collect:
- Your mobile phone number.
- The date, time, and method of your SMS opt-in or opt-out.
- Message delivery status, replies, and support requests.
- A Prototype account identifier or limited app activity needed to trigger the notification you requested.
Please do not send sensitive personal, financial, health, or government-identification information by text message.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- Send Prototype notifications, reminders, testing instructions, security notices, and account-related messages you agreed to receive.
- Record and honor your messaging preferences.
- Respond to questions and troubleshoot delivery issues.
- Protect, operate, and improve the Prototype experience.
- Comply with law and prevent misuse.
We do not use your consent to one Prototype or client program as consent for another sender, program, topic, or client.
SMS disclosures
Message frequency varies by your activity, but you will receive no more than 4 messages per month for each Prototype program unless a different limit is clearly disclosed when you opt in. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. After you opt out, we may send one final confirmation message. Reply HELP for help or contact info@wearepop.com. Your wireless carrier is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
Messaging service providers
POP, Inc. uses service providers such as Twilio, hosting providers, and wireless carriers only to operate the Prototype and deliver messages. They may process mobile information solely on POP, Inc.’s behalf and only as necessary to provide the messaging service.
These service providers are not permitted to use, share, sell, rent, or provide mobile information or messaging consent data for marketing or promotional purposes. POP, Inc. does not transfer SMS consent to another business.
Retention and security
We keep mobile information only as long as reasonably needed for the Prototype, to honor opt-outs, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and protect the service. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure.
Your choices
You can stop SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, subject to applicable law, by emailing info@wearepop.com. Opting out of text messages does not prevent essential notices from being delivered through another channel when allowed by law.
Children
The Prototype App Messaging Program is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their mobile information. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact info@wearepop.com.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Prototype or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date shows when revisions took effect. Material changes will be communicated when required.
